Konzelmann Pinot Blanc 2009, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Pinot Blanc
Ontario, Canada
$12.15 (219279)
Pinot blanc is a mild variety, closest to chardonnay, although Konzelmann gives it a Germanic twist with moderate sweetness. Sulphur on the nose, but ripe apple and buttery aromas shine through. It’s soft and easy-drinking.Critic Reviews (1)

A soft easy drinking white made in a German style with some fruit sweetness. The nose shows mild apple pear fruit...

Quite possibly the nicest semi-dry Ontario Pinot Blanc I've tasted in a very long time.

crisp acidity, lots of fresh summer fruits.
Good aperitif wine; especially on a hot day.
for the price, this wine is actually quite good value.
