Hand harvested grapes from 70-110 y.o. vines grown at 800 m altitude on poor sandy-clay soils of Pedrosa, a Grand Cru of the Ribera del Duero D.O. Tempranillo at >900m elevation on poor sandy-clay soils. One of the oldest vineyards in the region, with many vines are 100 years and older.
Aged ~2 y. in New French oak barrels and over 1 y. in btls.
Intense and polished, superb perfume of exotic spices, sandalwood, herbs, lavender, and assorted black fruits.
Serve at 17°C with game and grilled meats, roasted nuts and mature cheeses.
