A very fine, balanced Chianti Classioc Riserva here from Ricasoli. a little closed at first, bit quickly opens up with an impressive depth of flavours - sour red cherries, currant, well integrated wood - all finished with silky tannin and acidity that makes CC such a great food wine. Drinking very nicely now, but no rush - this should still be in fine form 5 years hence. Picked up on sale for $20. Tasted April 2020.
