What a fantastic gem of a wine this is! Only wish the LCBO had brought in more... For a medium sweet fortified, it is impeccably balanced with a medium dry finish... up front the gorgeous elderflower Muscat grape aroma and flavour is encouraged by the slight sweetness, and then balanced out by the finish I mentioned... a very beautiful wine and an absolute steal at this price, better than a lot of Sauternes at twice the price or more
The Torres Floralis Moscatel Oro, a fortified Moscatel, has intense aromas of honey, apricots, floral/linden notes, tea – Earl Gray perfume, citrus – all on the nose, and orange, honey and soapy minerality on the palate. It is a syrupy/thick bodied, sweet/fortified, integrated wine, with somewhat lacking acidity and a medium to long and sticky finish. Sip this one glass at a time; drink now or hold for 5-10 years and watch it evolve. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89/93+ pts – mouth feel of 89 pt wine (could be less syrupy and have higher acidity) whereas the nose is 93+ and unlike anything I have tried before – this wine is nicely priced and a must try – definitely recommended. Tasted May/13.

An intriguing golden tawny colour, this is a sweet Spanish dessert wine that shows aromas of white flowers, honey, and candied apricots. It’s full and intense on the palate with an interesting tea flavour on the finish. It will warm you from the inside out as the cold weather approaches.
I don’t normally comment on the appearance of the bottle but this one is really eye-catching and will make a lovely hostess gift as we near the holiday season.

Lots of lovely rose and floral aromas. Medium-full bodied with floral and hints of honey on the palate. Medium acidity levels and a long floral finish. Yum! Tasted Apr/2013.
