Notes of dried cherry, strawberry, sweet leather, cigar box, nutmeg, plum, and rhubarb. A touch of Brettanomyces, is present, but pleasantly so. Medium bodied with matching acidity. Tannins are very fine and grippy. Very good length.
Medium-ruby with medium- intensity.
Aromas of brush, cherries. Almost chalky on the palate, but not tannic in feel - more savoury green notes on stewed sour cherries, plums. Lots of acid - this is ideal as a food wine.
Tasted May 2020.

First time for this grape. Found a rustic feel with good berry fruit, some jammy, medium tannins with leather on the nose and palate. Nicely balanced. Suitable to drink with food. LIked the finish.
