The medium-high intensity nose leads with smoky mineral and peppery spice aromas followed by dark berry, blackberry, and hints of purple fruits. The medium-full bodied palate offers spicy replays along with blackberry, dark berry flavours, all supported by supple tannins that are a bit chunky and grippy. Acids are fresh, while the finish is long and grippy. Enjoyable now, but better in 2 years. Tasted Feb/2020.

Inky purple, very ripe (nearly jammy) fruit. Picks up some oaky notes on the finish but stays within reasonable zone. A bit monolithic,i.e. not particular complex, and only a decent finish. Certainly a good wine and Argentine Malbec fans will enjoy this, but I didn't love it. Tasted Aug 2019.
