This blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Merlot has a medium-high intensity nose that is maturing with dried cherry, orange, dark fruits, and sweet spice aromas and flavours supported by very good acidity. There's a touch of warmth on the mid-palate, but it's still well-balanced. Maturing tannins are smooth and refined, while the flavour replays linger on the very good length finish. Tasted May 2022.

The fruit is certainly less expressive than one might expect from this excellent vintage at this age, but the wine is pleasantly rounded and very quaffable.
