A blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo, this organic wine has a fresh and inviting nose of medium-high intensity with lovely dark red cherry, spice, earthy, rose floral, and baking spice aromas, all of which echo very nicely on the dry, medium+ bodied palate. Tasty, well-balanced, and mildly structured, with very good acidity. The long finish is savoury and earthy with red cherry notes. Tasted May 2024. Score: 90+ pts

Nicely done CC, with nicely judged tannin and acidity, and inviting red fruit. True to its Tuscan origins. Should hold a hew years but essentially ready to drink now. Tasted June 2025.
