First taste was on an outdoor patio eating home made pizza gazing at the Sedona red rock mountains as a hot July day was just starting to cool down. Thought it was the best wine on the planet.
Many of these reviews are on the money with how lush (overly lush) this wine is.
Back home it was still lush and delicious like having a nice red with syrup and a cigar all at once!! Have with a meal and it is very intriguing....
Also of note is the reasoning behind the name, the vinyard uses "predator" aphids to keep the grape vines healthy vs. pesticides.
Red fruits, milk chocolate, earthy, and light oak aromas. Dried cherry, fruit-forward, and some cocoa on the palate. Light to medium-bodied. Lacking a little oak for my palate, but otherwise good structure and well made. Tasted June/2011.

I didn't like this very much at all: very sweet, quite hot, super-ripe and super-extracted. I'm not sure I would even have guessed it was even a zinfandel. If you like your wines on the sweet and jammy side then you might love this. If not, avoid. Drinkable but hardly worth the price.

This wine tastes mulled right out of the bottle. There's a short burst of spiced vanilla ice-cream (very sweet) that quickly gives way to alcohol. Did not enjoy at all.
