Oaky aromatic nose showing lifted Asian pear, crunchy apple and sea salt. Palate is caramelized with ripe orchard...
The 2008 Seriously Twisted blend from Flat Rock cellars smells like gently oak-aged sauvignon blanc with its sawdust...

Seriously, a crazy blend of four grapes that is so twisted. 79% Chardonnay, 7% Riesling, 7% Gewurztraminer and 7% Pinot Noir. add in a little barrel fermentation and as odd is this blend appears .... it works and is seriously good!
Dominate taste and flavours are treed fruits (pear, apple) minerality, and citrus notes. Crisp cool climate acidity supports a long finish .... you just have to try this out!

Wow, very impressed with the way this has aged, and am glad I sat on this bottle for 3 years. This could hold another 3 years easy. Still has a green-straw tinge in the glass. Toasted sesame, key lime graham cracker crust, apple, mineral and a lovely hint of petrol on the nose. The palate shines as a seamless integration of creamy lees/oak with that steely sharp Bench acid. Med + body, rich and crisp at the same time. Tasted June '13
