Estate Papaioannou Single Vineyard Agiorgitiko 2007, Voqs Nemea

Intriguingly open and aromatic, more fruit-driven and better balanced than the 2006 Estate Nemea from Papaioannou, delivering fresh strawberry and raspberry notes reminiscent of pinot noir or lighter-style grenache. The palate is lovely, juicy, balanced and fresh, with integrated oak, light but dusty tannins and lingering finish. One of the best vintages from the estate to date. Tasted January 2012. Perhaps a wine for Pinot Noir lovers. Lots of different flavours, and a long finish. Get this if you want adventure, not to serve to guests, or want amazing value for twenty bucks. It grows on me with every sip. I started this review rating it at 89, but after having a little between every sentance, I am going to push it to the magic 90. Too bad it ran out, or it might have gone even higher.
