Stoneleigh Chardonnay 2011, Marlborough
Chardonnay
Marlborough, New Zealand
$9.95 (288795)
A bold, complex chardonnay that tips onto the wild side, with some acetic tang on the finish. Intense, burgundian nose of peat smoke, cashews, dried pear and lemon peel. Medium-full bodied, with some sweetness balanced by slightly sour acidity. Excellent length.Critic Reviews (2)

A nice balance of fruit, malo, and oak treatment resulting in a complex chardonnay with a nice long and lingering finish.
Pear and apple fruit notes, the malo fermentation adds a nice buttery taste and hints of smoke from the oak all work together in this wine.
Very tasty!
