Clean, fresh, firm and bright, with good structure and balanced alcohol-acid-tannin structure. This still needs time...

Was expecting it to be a bit sweetish. It is not, rather full and elegant.
Did I mention how Awesome WineAlign is, I just love this website. Anyway's, it's a relaxing moody Sideways Sunday that calls for a Hitching Post Pinot. It's my first, and I gotta say, its fresher than what i was expecting. This is why I think Niagara is still really so undiscovered...it reminds me of a Niagara Pinot, juicy and full of flavour, but balanced and really fresh and grippy. Well made and perfect for any mood - rainy or sunny outside, this is a pinot that slowly works itself into your life.

Nice cranberry raspberry fruity nose which later evolved to more spices. Lovely fruit on the palate with some spice and a nice long finish with a nice freshness.
Medium minus ruby in colour with a medium+ nose.
A solid Pinot, but a touch more expensive than it should be. The clearance price is more appropriate.
Positives: A flavorful Pinot exhibiting wood smoke and purple lilacs on the nose, and on the taste pine, cherry pie, sour cherry, cranberry, strawberry and dried rosemary. Medium minus body with medium to medium+ tannins, good acidity and a very long length.
Negatives: A touch hot from the 14.2% alcohol, and a touch overtly tart.
Interesting Notes: The movie Sideways brought The Hitching Post into mainstream.
Drink now on or over the next 3 years on its own or pair it with quail.
