No sulphur issues in my tasting. beautiful nose of candied citrus & some orchard fruit along with a nice stoney grassy note. Palate packs a wallop of mouth watering acidity holding up citrus and gorgeous minerality. Long lemon/lime finish. Perfect summer sipper.
The 2012 Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc has intense bouquet of leechie and passion fruit on the nose as well as on the palate. It is a light to medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine, with good acidity and long, leechie dominated finish. It is a food friendly wine – pair with Asian cuisine; drink young now – 2015/16 (screw cap). My impression: NICE, 89-90 pts – recommended buy especially when on sale for $15.95 ($1.50 OFF) till May 26/13. Tasted at WineAlign’s event “Tutored Tasting with Stoneleigh Winemaker Jamie Marfell” and again at Wines of New Zealand May/13.

A bouquet of fragrant citrus from this pale Marlborough sav blanc with a slight green tinge. Mineral citrus on the palate with lime the dominant fruit. A viscous medium bodied mouthfeel with bracing acidity. There's some bitterness on the lengthy finish that's a bit too pronounced, but overall consistent Stoneleigh quality. If seafood is on the menu, then grip it n' sip it! July 2013.
