Very tight and showing youth now but this wine will show exceptional value if you have patience for 2014 to 2017. Subtle cherry, tea and spice on the still shy nose. Big gripping tannins with ripe dark cherry and raspberry licorice palate. This wine has all elements in high volume to assure cellar potential. Tasted Oct '12
The 2010 Moris Morellino Di Scansano, composed of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot and 5% Syrah, is a medium bodied, fruity wine, with appealing aromas of raspberry, cherry, dark chocolate and oak. It has a nice acidity, refined tannins (decant for 1 hour +) and a medium finish. It is a food friendly wine that should be aged for couple of years; drink 2014-2018. My impression: NICE, 89 pts. Tasted Oct/12.
