This is a great introductory wine to the wonderfully rustic world of aglianico. This has a solid dose of the savory...

Very nicely done wine that shows off what aglianico can be, though in a friendlier manner than most. Lots of black fruit, dried rosemary and thyme, and loads of minerality on the nose. On the palate, the flavours continue with the true characteristics of the grape shining through its medium+ acidity and grippy tannins. It's reasonably consumer friendly though and is a nice introduction to this varietal. Tasted May 2014.
