I strongly believe that the greatest Chardonnay in the world is made in Meursault and this wine fully supports that statement. The nose is breathtaking beyond the literal sense, showing notes of citrus and pear mixed with toasted hazelnuts and honey. One is hesitant to taste the wine for fear the palate may not reflect the perfect aromas...
An intensity greets the taster but it quickly softens to show a balanced, dry, and creamy richness. A stunning wine that will cellar for a decade but you can enjoy it now. Decant 1 hour prior to serving. (northof9finewine, March 2011)

Attractive golden colour at this point. Full, vibrant nose suggestive of appricots, underpinned by butter, almost caramel notes. Still suprisingly tarte and youthful on the palate, full bodied and very long. I would say this is still not at prime drinking stage, and will improve further. A wine that shows its best with food.
