The 2012 Keint-He Portage Chardonnay, made with fruit sourced entirely from PEC that was subsequently aged in French oak barrels and puncheons, has attractive limestone minerality, gooseberry, pineapple, lemon, green apple, oak and creamy butter notes. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity to integrated wine; BALANCED with crisp acidity and a long finish. It is food friendly but enjoy this wine on-its-own, drink now - 2020+ (cork enclosure). My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts – recommended for quality and value. Tasted at 'County in the City' event http://grapeselections.com/county-in-the-city-2014/ in Apr/14.
