This is such a solidly built wine, that it takes about three hours for it to open up...or another 6 years of bottle aging...take your pick.. wow big big tannins and structure...great acidity...really over powering at first. Seriously give it 2 or 3 hours to open...really nice soft milk chocolate coco notes emerge behind the aggressive smoky oak and spicy cherries. Impressive creamy full body, with perfectly integrated tannins. Quite possibly the best wine i've experienced this year under $20. But you must decant!
