As the grapes per hectare are reduced (by natural or man-influenced methods), the quality of the wines of Soave are also on the uptick, as this example shows. Pretty aromas of almond, pear, lemon and wet stone. Dry and very fresh with very good almond and lemon replays. A great palate refresher between courses, or enjoy with lighter seafood and fish dishes. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2011)

This Soave demonstrates a nose of grapefruit, Bartlett pear and match stick. Dry with a light+ body, medium acidity, average balance and a short finish. This is a prototypical simple everyday white. Tasted Feb, 2015.

Organic wine that is 100% Garganega. Elegant lime, peach and orange aromas from the cork. In the glass, aromas are low-to-medium intensity with ripe notes of citrus, peach and almond with much of same on the medium-bodied palate. Vibrant acids give way to mineral notes and a kiss of citrus sweetness. Decent length. Tasted Feb/2015.
