Still dark and in the dark, this broody blend is only pre-teen. A great deal yet to come with firm tannins and an...
It takes less than two seconds to recognize the level of quality in Le Grand Vin. There is a sense of balance and...
One of the best young Osoyoos Larose we have tasted. The blend is 50/24/13/9/4 merlot, cabernet sauvignon, petit...
The 2012 is perhaps my favourite vintage of Le Grand Vin to date. It is a big, deeply ruby-black shaded blend based...
I had not been thrilled when I tasted this 2012 year-end 2015. It seemed through an adolescent crisis. Six months...
A curiously green and weedy, and also oaky and roasted vintage for Osoyoos Larose, which comes across as hard and...

Still quite deep ruby in colour, although some garnet tinges appearing at the edges. Some greenness on the nose, with pot pourri, dried red fruit, spice and oak aromas of chocolate and vanillin. The palate is about savoriness, as the fruit dries and fades at this point. Tobacco, more oak and spice and a soy like quality. Tannins are still grainy. Decent concentration, balance and length, but there's something off-kilter about it. Somehow it hasn't knitted together and I'm not sure it ever will. Agree with Szabo on this one. June 2020.
