Lush and plush. Good acidity and tannins but nice finish. Pronounced pepperiness from the syrah. Will maybe cure me of my obsession with portuguese wines? $3 dollars off at the LCBO!
Really impressed with this effort. Dominates Black cherry with dark fruit and savory Notes have support. Good acidity and structure, this is an easy drinking wine (even at 14%) That goes well with a whole array of foods. Highly recommend
Ever reliable Guigal has again produced a good, authentic Cotes du Rhone. Soft, approachable, with a solid core of fruit. along with typical notes of black pepper and herbs. Yet, I feel that the '12 is a notch or two behind the '11. Not as complex and a bit rustic. Good, no doubt, but not compelling value at $20 (I picked up on sale for $17). Tasted Aug 2016.
