Savory Mediterranean style wine, herb and cherry, earthy, beautiful garnet color. It has all the elements of a great wine, made in a young easy drinking style. No mistaking this for anything else, classic, rustic and elegant. This is right up my alley. Gets an extra point for being too damn real!
Medium-high nose featuring graphite, sour cherry and some woody aromas. The palate is medium-full bodied with chalky tannins that could use some cellar time, pleasing savoury aroma replays and good acids. The finish length is very good. Tasted May/2016.

Rustic and ready to drink, once again, Boutari's Xinomavro represents fine value. This is all about sour cherry fruit, herbs and bright acidity, making this a perfect wine for tomato-based dishes. Tasted May 2017.
