Nice to see a Chianti that isn't all dressed up to tasted like a red Bordeaux. Clean, crisp red cherries and tart cranberries, with hints of leather and earth. Light to medium bodied, with brisk acidity and a bit of tannin. So Tuscany, so Chianti. If you like Chianti, well worth stocking up. Tasted Nov 2017.
Medium+ intensity nose has nice savoury, mineral, earthy and oak spice aromas. On the palate, it's medium+ bodied with nicely balanced dried herbs, earth, and cherry flavours. It has well-integrated, supple tannins, very good acidity and a long, nicely focused finish. Tasted May/2016.
