Would not have guessed Sangiovese had I tasted this blind (80% sangiovese, 10% ciliegiolo,10% cabernet Sauvignon according to their website). Some vegetal and peppery notes would have led me to think cab franc or perhaps some syrah. That said, this is good wine, not too heavy with solid red fruit. Tasted Nov 2016.
