This sauvignon blanc from Chile's cool Leyda Valley is dominated by pungent herbal and citrus notes. The nose shows green bell pepper, grass, lime, and grapefruit, with hints of green apple, white pepper, tarragon, and pineapple. The flavours are similar, though with a bit more fruit quality, with some passionfruit joining in. This is a very intense wine, though not too complex: the acidity is jaw-tingling, and the alcohol a bit higher than many sauvignon blancs. This would be best served quite cold in the summer, with lemon seasoned fish/seafood, or ceviche. Quite good value. Tasted Nov. 2016
