A rich powerful Amarone with its power somewhat tamed by soft acidity to give it a degree of elegance. Expect aromas...

Intense aromas of dried dark fruit like raisins and blackcurrant. There's some grip from the tannins, warmth from the 16.5% alcohol, but all nicely balanced with the acidity. Great after dinner wine. You want to drink this.

This Amarone docg comes from the classico region of Valpolicella. It is made from 80% Corvina Veronese grapes, 10% Rondinella, between 5 and 10% Oseleta and Croatina. It is a 16.5% red alcohol that has a greasy dress. It is a very dark red and opaque, as soon as the entry into the mouth and its smell we perceive its high alcohol content, but it remains soft and it flows very well in the mouth. Its dark and semi-dried grape varieties bring back aromas of cocoa, plums and figs. This wine is authentic, although it derogates from the 4 rather classic varieties of Amarones Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. The small percentage of the old grape Oseleta and the presence of a second black, the Croatina of this wine gives it this opaque color and this tannic property. The last tasting of this wine dates from February 2018 and it will have its best year between 2017 and 2021.
