Uncork 1 hour before serving. Perfect accompaniment for duck, roast and lamb.
"Lots of blackcurrants, grapes and lemon zest character. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a long and flavorful finish. It's firm and very tight. Compact structure. Delicious blend..."(James Suckling)
Baracchi is on a beautiful hillside of Cortona, with stunning views of the Valdichiana Valley, in a typical Tuscan villa, home of the famous poet Antonio Guadanoli in the XVIIc. Estate covers 75 Ha, half of which are vineyards. There is exquisite 5 star boutique resort and Michelin star restaurant on the property
Well definitely 90 pts, 93 is a stretch... Perhaps James was in a really good mood when he tasted this. It's true what he describes - it does have a citrus character to it, which keeps it fresh but not overly acidic, which is nice. So if you're in the mood for something a bit different, this is it. I'd say this is a good Summertime Red.
