Vigna di Pettineo 2022 Grillo D.O.C. Sicilia, Sicily, Italy ($26.25)
92 points David Lawrason – This pours quite intense, deep yellow-gold. It has fine, exotic tropical nose of fresh fig, banana, star fruit, green olive and lemon. It is quite full bodied, almost viscous/oily in texture, but not sweet. Great fruit presence and depth here. Slightly bitter and lemony on the finish. Not the most elegant wine, but full of character. The length is excellent.
91 pointsSara d’Amato – A compellingly peppery style of grillo, brimming with honey, rye, pear, starfruit, and jasmine blossom on the nose. Emphatically joyful, this Sicilian grill is bold and zesty grounded by a touch of viscosity and crema on the palate. Widely appealing with memorable length.

Vigna di Pettineo 2022 D.O.C.G. Cerasuolo Di Vittoria Classico, Sicily, Italy ($28.95)
92 points – David Lawrason – This is an organically produced blend of nero d’avola and frappato, designed for immediate charm and freshness. There is no oak involved here. It has a generous, candied nose of cranberry, pomegranate and cherry, with botanical greens and herbs. It is medium weight, a touch sweet but energized by mouthwatering acidity, some alcohol warmth (13.5%). Tannins are mild; the length is excellent.
91 points – John Szabo, MS – Lovely, complex aromatics lead off on this nero d’avola-frappato blend, a heady mix of sweet red fruit, strawberry jam, black pepper, wild herbs, flower-heavy pot pourri and more. The palate is zesty and juicy, saliva-inducing, with long finish – it really hangs on with its exotic pink peppercorn spice. Lots of pleasure and enjoyment, and entertainment, on offer. Drink or hold 3-4 years; a light chill would be preferable.

Vigna di Pettineo 2023 Frappato D.O.P. Vittoria, Sicily, Italy ($25.95)
91 points – David Lawrason – This is a very pretty, charming and fragrant light red with very floral aromas – lilac/peony, and candied strawberry/pomegranate fruit. It is medium bodied, warm yet lively and juicy with modest tannin. The length is excellent, with a sense of minerality on the finish. Chill a bit.
89 points – John Szabo, MS – Cherry jam aromas lead on this lightly candied example of frappato, leading to a light, juicy, sweet-sour profile on the palate with high drinkability. Tannins are very light and fine, leaving acids to frame up the candied red fruit along with a lick of wild herbs and rusty iron. Length is very good. Lots of swarthy pleasure here; chill lightly and enjoy over the next year or two.
