Fragrant, perfumed nose of spice, red cherry, clove and incense aromas. It is medium-full bodied and quite savoury on the palate with red cherries, chocolate, spice and some stony mineral flavours. Acids are fresh and mouthwatering while textured tannins are a touch on the grippy side. Clean, savoury, stony mineral and red cherry notes linger on the long, succulent finish. Highly recommended wine to enjoy over the next 3-4 years. Tasted Oct/2019.

Drink now but will age
Nice bottle of Chianti Classico here, replete with red fruit, dried cherries, and hints of earthiness (in a good way, of course). Properly firm without being tannic and that lovely Sangiovese acidity on the long finish. Fine to drink now, should hold a few years as well. Fine value. Tasted Nov 2019.
Pale translucent ruby. Nose is dominated by dried flowers and spice. Med bodied, with similar flavour profile. Finish has a bit of tannic grip and some persistence. Correct, but doesn’t strike me as particularly good value. Better to pay another $3-5 for more depth and complexity.
