Tasted at the winery this weekend. Smoother and more polished tannins than the 2005, even in its youth. The fruit is still somewhat closed, but it is definitely approachable now. Nice balance of fruit and oak influence. It should be stellar in 2-3 years, and drink well for another 5 years after that. Another winner from the Bosc family.

This vintage of Ch. Des Charmes' flagship wine tasted very much like the '05..pretty good consistancy if you ask me.

Niagara's answer to the left bank is a good drink. Nice balance of dark berries, oaky vanilla, spicy notes and good tannin. "07 was a great summer, and this is definitely ripe, but I was surprised to detect some green notes. Drinking well now with some decanting but will certainly benefit from at least few more cellar years.

90? - March2011-very Bordeax left bank. The cab franc adds its charm to this blendwith the bell pepper hints and shaved pencil aromas. Well balanced. Opened up after about 2 hours in the decanter. I'd give it 1-2 years more before i try the next bottle and I believe it could sit for another 5-8 years. Perfectly matched with BBQ fillet mignon and portabello mushroom.

Spicy blackberry, red flowers, sweet tobacco, slight licorice. Velvety and lush in the mouth.

2010 vintage. Blend of 50% Cab Sauv, 25% Cab Franc and 25% Merlot brings aromas of cassis, smoke and oak. On the palate, there is more cassis, plus vanilla, oak, and chocolate. Very smooth with well-integrated tannins. Lovely! Tasted June/2012.
