Bachelder Niagara Chardonnay 2010, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Chardonnay
Ontario, Canada
$24.95 (302083)
This is a full blown chardonnay flavour-wise yet it hangs on to some tenderness and elegance in the face of the ripe vintage. It has a ripe creamy nose of peat smoke, tobacco, peach pie, almond and crème brule. It's quite stylish, complex and complete - with some alcohol hanging out like a shirt-tail on the finish. There is also some minerality. Excellent length and focus. Chill well. Score: 90 (David Lawrason, www.WineAlign.com, Sept 2012)Critic Reviews (3)

Buttery in a good way..full malo done apparently. A whiff of oak rather than a baseball bat.
Creamy, flavorful, balanced goodness. This is a Chard that the ABC crowd should visit.
