From 35 year old vines atop the escarpment, Charles Baker has crafted an interesting, complex essentially dry riesling. I tasted it in a mini vertical side by side the 2012. It shows orchard fruit, citrus, cut rubber hose, some dried herb, a savoury mid/late palate and lots of minerality (older long roots penetrating beyond the clay). Acidity is high creating a vibrant, refreshing riesling that balances the RS. Length is lingeringly excellent. March 2016.
Such an incredibly well put together wine. Nose is loaded lemon, green apple, mandarine, and a ton of minerality. On the palate, there's a good amount of sweetness, but the acid keeps it all in perfect harmony. To those uninformed, this might be a great German example. Instead, it's a testament to what this province can produce. Good fruit, incredibly acidity, and just all-around precision. Bravo Charles Baker for another amazing wine. Tasted November 2014.
Highly aromatic with lovely notes of petrol and delicate hints of mineral. Developing nicely, it has an oily texture and off-dry palate consisting of tropical fruits, peach, orange and hints of honey flavours. Fine, balanced acidity and excellent length on the finish. Tasted Oct/2013.

Lovely straw color with a hint of green.
On the nose, lots of lanolin and citrus notes, mostly lemon and lime. On the palate, lovely lime and chalky minerality. Nice long finish with a hint of key lime pie.
