John Szabo, MS – If I’m buying only one for this cool autumn weekend, I’m looking directly at the Tawse Cabernet Franc Growers Blend from the terrific 2020 Niagara vintage. It’s showing beautifully now with its own autumnal appeal, and also shows just how well this classic variety does in southern Ontario, arguably the most consistent red grape grown in the province (I would not argue this). I like the mouth-coating structure and the classic flavour line somewhere between the Loire and Bordeaux in style.
