Friulano (aka Sauvigonasse or Sauvignon Vert) is a white grape most famous in the white wines of Friuli in northeastern Italy. The wines can range from lively and fruity to richer and fuller-bodied. Aromas and flavours of pears, apricot, and almonds are common. Some may be aged briefly in oak.
